For Scripters, we have created a new role with the same name - “Scripter” so that they could have access to all necessary resources needed to complete their daily tasks.
What permissions does the Scripter role have?
For different modules in the Testlio Platform Scripter will have the following permissions:
Tests Module - read-only access, Scripter can see all test cases and steps in them, but they are not allowed to create new or edit existing tests or steps.
Plans Module - read-only access, Scripter can see all plans and all tests in the plans but they are not allowed to create new or edit existing plans.
Runs Module
Manual runs - read-only access, Scripter can see everything related to manual runs but they are not allowed to make any changes or create new manual runs
Automated runs - Scripter is allowed to create new issues from Automated Runs but they are restricted to read-only access for creating or modifying Automated Runs.
Issues Module - similarly to Testers, Scripter is allowed to create new issues, update their own issues and add comments to other issues, all other permissions are left to Coordinators and Admins.
