Unless your Workspace explicitly says otherwise, do not use mirroring for screen recording.
Mirror an iPhone to a Mac
Use Built-In Mirroring
If your iPhone and Mac meet the system requirements, you can use iPhone Mirroring directly on your Mac. If one or both of them don't meet the requirements, use one of the other options.
Use AirPlay
On your Mac, go to System Settings > General > AirDrop & Handoff.
Ensure that AirPlay Receiver is set to on.
Set who to allow AirPlay for.
On your iPhone, open the Control Center.
Tap Screen Mirroring.
Select your Mac from the list of devices.
Enter your password if prompted.
Use QuickTime
Connect your iPhone to your Mac using your Lightning to USB cable.
Open QuickTime on your Mac.
Click on File in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click on New Movie Recording.
Next to the red record button (bottom middle), click on the down arrow. You should see your iPhone named in this list. If it's not there, try disconnecting and reconnecting your iPhone.
Tap your iPhone.
Your phone is fully mirrored on your computer, in the exact shape of your iPhone screen.
Mirror an Android to Mac
Use Vysor
Download Vysor on your computer.
Download Vysor on your phone.
Connect your smartphone to your computer.
When you connect for the first time, you are asked for USB debugging permission. Accept it by tapping OK. You may need to enable USB cable debugging under Developer Options.
After a few seconds, you can see your mobile screen on your Mac through the Vysor window.

Use AirDroid
On your Android phone download AirDroid from Google Play
Open AirDroid app, no need to sign in
Phone and computer needs to be in the same network
Tap on AirDroid web -> there you will see ip address
Insert that ip address to computer browser
Click on screenshot icon -> accept permissions
After few seconds you can see your mobile screen on your computer

Mirror an iPhone to Windows
Use LetsView
Download LetsView on your PC.
Connect both devices under the same network.
On your iPhone, find “Screen Mirroring” from settings and find the name of your PC. Once found, tap the name of your PC and the mirroring will begin.
Use ApowerMirror
Download and install ApowerMirror on both iPhone and Windows.
Create an account on ApowerMirror.
Open ApowerMirror on your iPhone and Windows.
On your phone, choose the name of your Windows and select Phone Screen Mirroring.
In your phone settings, find the Screen Mirroring options and tap on the name of your Windows again to start the mirroring process.
