When executing tests, testers can provide feedback on each step if they encounter any issues or inaccuracies such as outdated steps, unclear instructions, or opportunities for optimization. Help keep your tests relevant and easy to execute by acting on the feedback.

Recommendations

Itโ€™s recommended to review feedback soon after run completion โ€“ ideally no later than 2-3 days after the run. This helps make sure:

  • Run details are fresh and feedback review is quick.

  • Follow-throughs with testers to clarify the feedback are more effective, as testers still have the context of the previous run.

Feedback that's addressed should have one of the following outcomes:

  • The test is updated based on the feedback and the feedback is resolved.

  • The test is archived as no longer relevant.

  • The feedback is resolved and no actions are taken on the test as the feedback is not actionable.

Manage Feedback

If your engagement team manages your tests, you don't have to do anything extra. They will make sure all feedback is addressed in a timely manner. If you manage your tests your tests yourself, how to manage the feedback depends on how you manage your tests:

Manage Feedback in the Testlio Platform

Within the Testlio platform, feedback on specific runs and plans can be found on the given run or plan. To find all unresolved feedback across your workspace, go to Tests > Segments > Unresolved feedback.

Find unresolved feedback in the Testlio Platform in the Tests module under Segments.

Manage Feedback in Your Test Management System

If you manage your tests in a separate test management system, your engagement team will forward you any feedback that's actionable. You can then make any updates that are needed within your system.
