Review and Update Regularly Test Plans

Test plans that are run regularly, such as smoke and regression plans, should be reviewed and updated at least once every 3 months. This ensures that the plans stay up to date with any changes in the app or testing requirements.

Additionally, consider shuffling the order of test cases, especially for regression plans that are run constantly. Changing the order provides a new execution perspective for testers and can potentially uncover issues related to functionality dependencies.

Review Constantly Passing Tests

Regularly review tests that consistently pass without any issues. Evaluate whether they need to be included in subsequent test runs. This helps to optimize testing efforts by focusing only on tests that provide valuable feedback or uncover potential issues.

Review Forecast Based on Historical Data

Use the historical test plan execution data in the Testlio Platform to regularly review the forecast for future testing efforts. This allows for better planning and resource allocation based on the historical performance and duration of test plans.

Add Dedicated Tests for New Features

Once a new feature is released, add dedicated tests for that feature in both smoke and regression plans. This ensures that the new functionality is specifically tested and monitored in subsequent test runs.
