Testlio deeply cares about the safety of our people around the world. Aligned with this, we have implemented an aid program for freelancers who may be in high-crisis cities.

We define a high-crisis city as a location facing “an actual or imminent force majeure event, including wars, insurrections, natural disasters, and infrastructure failures.” For example, in early 2022 we defined Kharkiv, Ukraine as a high-crisis city based on the border conflict with Russia.

To be eligible, you need to have worked with Testlio as a freelancer for at least five hours for each of the last three months. You also need to answer three short questions below.

We consider all applicants who’ve worked with us 5h within the past 3 months. If you could benefit from this aid, please apply. We process the payments as quickly as possible and transfer the funds to your PayPal or Payoneer account.

Aid is meant to facilitate leaving a high-crisis location and is provided in the form of a grant of $500 USD. This aid does not need to be paid back — it is a grant not a loan.

How do I know if I would be eligible to apply for a grant from Testlio?

- If you are one of our freelancers who has worked with Testlio for at least three hours for each of the last three months, you will be eligible to apply. Once we receive your application, one of our people will contact you via email with any questions and remain in touch with a final decision.

Can I apply for a grant from Testlio if I have a need other than what’s defined as a high-crisis situation?

- Unfortunately, not at this time. We have established this program to specifically serve people who are looking for assistance to leave cities that are in crisis.

What is the amount of the grant?

- The amount per grant is $500 USD.

Are grants provided over time?

- No. The grant is a one-time payment.

How long does it take once an application is submitted to go through the approval process and to receive funding?

- Once Testlio understands your situation, which may require a few follow-up questions, we will provide an approval within a week. Please let us know if your situation is particularly urgent and we will do our best to work as quickly as possible.

Do I have to pay the grant back?

- No. Because this is a grant and not a loan, you do not have to pay it back.

How will I receive this grant?

- We will provide it via PayPal or Payoneer.
