Get a clear overview of testing activities distributed across geographical areas in a single place with the Locations report. Track key indicators to determine if they are sending any signals that require action or further investigation.

Find the report in the Testlio Platform under Reports > Coverage > Locations. You can filter the data for a specific date range and/or specific workspaces.

The Locations report brings indicators tracking key metrics to help teams analyze participation, task activity, and engagement trends by country and region. These indicators are great for improving your localization testing.

Indicator

What It Tracks

What Signals It Might Bring

Countries

The total number of countries where tasks were initiated during the selected period. Automatically compares with the number of countries for the prior period.

Compare this to the scope needed for country assignments. This is a good place to align and ensure all countries are being tested based on issues found and client needs.

Regions

The number of distinct regions contributing to the testing efforts. Automatically compares with the number of regions in the prior period.

This metric offers a broader view of geographic coverage.

  • An increase in regions contributing to testing may suggest a broader geographical reach for localization. Ensure the scope for each region’s needs is well defined and that resources are distributed to handle diverse language, cultural, and functionality requirements.

Avg. People per Country

The average number of people that executed tasks per country. Automatically compares with the average for the prior period.

  • An increase in the average signals strong localized testing participation, but make sure tester expertise aligns with the regional and content-specific requirements for localization.

This is also a good indicator if you want to expand the testing pool to other countries.

Countries vs. People per Country

A visual comparison of the total number of countries with tasks and the average number of people per country over time.

This bar and line chart visualizes the relationship between the total number of countries contributing to tasks (blue bars) and the average number of people per country (black line) over time.

This chart highlights fluctuations in country participation and workload distribution, helping identify trends in geographic activity and people concentration.

  • A discrepancy between the number of countries and people per country could indicate uneven regional focus. This highlights the need for strategic resource allocation to balance localization coverage and match the scope of each country's testing requirements. This is best to dive into if you’re looking for localized results for testing.
